hannukah songs

so go listen to them before the christmas carols come back!

sergent pepper's lonely hearts band yeah...

do you know what bothers me?
people who wear sweats and pajama pants during school.

I find this is especially a problem during exams.
but seriously guys
exams aren't that hard to the point where you need to be extra comfortable in order to perform your best.
ew.
you know, if I can make the effort to shower, brush my teeth, and put fresh clothes on in the morning so can you.

please just put some jeans on!

in other news
muumy bought me and norah really cute sweaters at buckle for hannukah
which makes me wicked spoiled
considering I'm getting drivers ed and a trip to israel.
but
it's very cute
red sweater with three really big buttons after a big v neck thing
::sighs::
would look really amazing with my gray dress pants and that white tanktop that I absolutley adore.
can't wait to wear it to services

seriously sometimes I think that there really isn't a function to going to temple every saturday except to be seen wearing my amazing outfits.
really though, it's just my fault that my dress up clothes are more gorgy than the everyday casual sort.
too bad for me.

that's the end.

I don't like to watch ugly betty on tv
it's kind of a retarded show...
but the office is pretty cool =D

hannukah

today is the first day of hannukah

my mummy made roast chicken and latkes with green beans
it was amazing

I think that latkes are most definitely the best part of hannukah.

my favorite hannukah story is that time that we were playing "hannukah time" in band in the sixth grade, with mr berryhill who was our band director. I had band eight period (or possibly ninth) but there was another sixth grade class that had him fourth period. he pronounced in cha-noo-key-aaah because it was spelled with the ch and he didn't get the chach ::insert phlegm producing noise here for those unfamiliar with chachies:: he called it cha-noo-key-aah time all day and though that fourth period was playing a prank on him when they let him know it was chanuka. he got to my period and I had band with daniel matchar, an-out-of-the-closet-jew whose mother had written the note to mr berryhill that it would be nice to have some hannukah songs on the christmas concert program (or so it was rumored on the sixth grade gossip grapevine). daniel matchar (who has one of those names that you just have to say the whole thing, like jacob beck or ariel fischer) was all like uhh yeah... it actually is pronounced hannukah and mr berryhill was all embarassed. but he was actually kind of a nice guy so whatever.

whatelse

exams suck
chemistry sucks
friends can be disappointing sometimes
memorizing poems is not fun
nor is coming into school early

I think I'm going to try and write in the blog more often... get the CREATIVE JUICES flowing. maybe they'll taste like MANGO or YAMS. ::pick up on the sarcasm::

for those who were wondering, I did indeed manage to get a sentence about yams into my english exam essay ::see things fall apart for manly yam associations:: and I got in five lines in my paper. my english teacher thinks I'm insane but she just doesn't get it.

I got a lap desk from my grandmother for hannukah
she called up my mom and was like I NEED TO BUY HAYLEY A LAPDESK
she gets that way sometimes
but it's okay

I like the lapdesk though
I'm typing on it right now
and it is quite comfy
or whatever a good adjective is for lapdesks anyway...

THE END!

so apparently...

rory and jess the couple in real life broke up.

::sheds a tear::

::winces at the lack of sarcastic appreciation of the nonexistent readers::

I guess that means jess isn't coming back to replace logan as rory's BEAU
which is just too bad if you ask me

but did you see that fist fight last tuesday

that fairy tale ending...

I must admit, if there's a sucker for rewritten fairy tales with happy cute sappy endings, it's me. I just can't help it.

the other day, I finished this book by shannon hale. it was this sequel that she wrote to this sequel (that I didn't read) to the original book (which I did read) which was a retelling of the goose girl and her talking horse. and at each of the end of the books all of the characters end up together. entwined in a big sappy mess of luuurrrrve.

and I eat it up.

I kind of wish that I lived in a fairytale.
I could have a happy ending.
live in a big castle with my one true love.
go on hunting expeditions on my talking horse.
light fires or draw water using BRAIN POWER!!

but not really
I mean
I don't think I actually want ANY of those things
but a happy ending might be nice

might be nice
