oh jacob black! (contains spoilers)
(after reading stephanie meyer's "New Moon" in which the "star-crossed lovers" bella and edward are seperated. edward runs away to south america [where he prompty curls up into fetal position and tries to comfort himself after ruthlessly breaking up with his "one true love") and leaves bella at home with her father and JACOB BLACK, our ill fated hero)
why is it that the best friend boy always gets his heart broken by the girl when her boyfriend comes back and professes his love? he's like that boy that everyone pretends isn't cute but really is and is so much better than boyfriend #1 (ok so maybe that came from the everwood rerun yesterday... I confess) and so what if the first boyfriend is a vampire who only left the girl because he thought he was doing it for her own good (saving her soul... original huh ::note sarcasm::). the second boy (JACOB BLACK) picked up the pieces when she was feeling lost and alone and just because he is a brand spankn' new werewolf and the other is a vampire (read sworn mortal [or rather immortal haha] enemy) doesn't mean that he should not get the girl. ok so maybe. but still... why can't jacob black ever win the girl once in a while. why can't he be the one who ends up with the girl at the end of the day. not that hooking up with the girl is that which defines our lonely hero, but it would be nice for the sweet steady guy to end up the happy one in the end. not that he won't end up happy if he doesn't get back (sort of) together with the girl.

jacob black should get a girl that he deserves as opposed to a broken one.

please stephenie meyer! please please please give jacob black the happy ending he deserves.
in fact I think that jacob black may deserve a better ending... simply because he was forced to suffer through losing the girl he loves to his despicable (or so he beleives) enemy.
I mean
how could bella?
she went right back to edward after he left her and her broken heart on the ground in a cold, rainy forest for goodness sakes. and even if he did have a good reason and attempted suicide after he beleived she had died could she really take him back? is there not ALREADY enough damage and mistrust in that relationship?
could bella really take him back without question?
so easily?
needless to say, I like jacob black the best.
